Lamed
Date
2020
Materials
Recycled black crystal
Technique
Pâte de verre
Dimensions

Context

This sculpture marks an early stage of the project Panser du secret. Its form derives from a sign the artist repeatedly drew during automatic writing, loosely recalling the Hebrew letter Lamed, often described as the heart of the alphabet. The wax model was wrapped with thread before casting, leaving a textured surface that preserves the gesture of binding and repair suggested in the title.
